Seth Bush's 'Oxfam Challenge' PledgePage
Hey All,
I need your help, assistance, and good will. I will be one of the participants undertaking the Oxfam Challenge ‘Cycle to Cambodia’ – an event run by Oxfam Community Aid Abroad (CAA) to raise funds for their work within developing communities. Oxfam Community Aid Abroad is an agency that is dedicated to providing poverty alleviation and social justice projects throughout the world. For more information on Oxfam Community Aid Abroad, please see their web page at http://www.caa.org.au/. Having contributed a $250 registration fee to participate in the Oxfam Challenge, I am now writing all of my friends for support. Yeah, I probably don’t deserve it, but it is not for me. It is for Oxfam. They are a great organization, and the Oxfam Challenge raises a lot of money and awareness for their programs. When I reach the target of AUS$4750 – which I hope I will actually exceed - I will join 35 other people in undertaking the physical side of the challenge: a 600km cycle ride from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam to Siem Reap in Cambodia. We will get to see first-hand the work of Oxfam in Cambodia and Vietnam, and our visits will draw much needed attention to Oxfam’s projects. I hope that you will see this as a worthwhile cause and will support my efforts. Later, Seth |
